We are a group of residents of Skyway that believe Skyway Park can be a great community treasure. We organize park clean-up and betterment projects (like the Gateway Project) and coordinate with King County Parks & Recreation to ensure Skyway Park is at its best.
We love Skyway Park!
Yep, we most certainly do. As residents of this neighborhood we love the people, businesses, and civic insititutions.
But there are ways we can make Skyway an even better place to live. We can start with making Skyway aware of the treasures we already have.
And that’s why we’re committed to bringing Skyway Park back to life!
Skyway Park is such a great gem – not many communities have a central 23-acre park! But despite its size and great location, the park is pretty unknown to the folks of Skyway.
FoSP and many other community members worked with Pomegranate Center to develop a plan for revitalizing Skyway Park. Visible, artistic gateways was one idea that rose to the surface.
Today, we’re putting that idea into action and raising funds to build a series of artistic, unique, community-built gateways into the park.
